La Vie en Rose - Retail in Action
Towards More Responsible Approach
As a major fashion player in Canada, La Vie en Rose is conscious of the current challenges and efforts of our industry, and they want to take their eco-responsible vision to the next level.
Because the planet is our precious legacy to the future generations.
Because they are committed to staying true to their values, which guide them towards a more respectful, responsible, and sustainable industry.
And, above all, because every gesture counts. Even the smallest.
Doing better, one step at a time.
At La Vie en Rose , they are mindful of their ecological footprint and on a journey to make a positive impact. The sale of reusable bags in stores is one of the many actions they have taken to contribute to the fight against climate change.
They are proud to announce that this initiative has raised $1 million to support nature conservation and reduce greenhouse gases. All the proceeds will be donated to environmental organizations striving to protect the planet and create a more sustainable future.
Discover The 5 Pillars Of La Vie en Rose’s Eco-Conscious Initiative:
Collections made of organic or recycled fibers:
Select styles from their collections have been created using fibers that contribute to reducing their environmental footprint.
ORGANIC COTTON: SOFT FOR YOU, SOFT FOR THE PLANET
Organic cotton is grown to have a lower impact on the environment and on workers’ health.
RECYCLED FIBERS: GIVING PRECIOUS RESOURCES A NEW LIFE
Produced from production scraps or from post-consumer waste, the use of recycled fibers lowers the consumption of virgin resources.
Eco-Friendly Packaging:
They prioritize resource-efficient packaging solutions to avoid unnecessary waste.
CARDBOARDS
On average, La Vie en Rose recycles 36 tons of cardboard every year. They reuse all the cardboard boxes that is received to ship orders to the stores. Non-reusable boxes are compressed into bundles: each bundle weighs around 250 kg.
SHOPPING BAGS
La Vie en Rose now invites their customers to bring their own reusable bag to the stores. If they forget to, they have a limited supply of eco-friendly canvas bags, entirely made of recycled materials, available as a backup option. They are sold at a unit price, and all proceeds are donated to organizations supporting nature conservation and reforestation (Nature Conservancy Canada and Tree Canada).
PLASTIC
All the clear plastic they receive (including polybags, stretch film, etc.) is compressed so they can recycle around 6 tons annually.
